Maharaj is like beacon

righteousness. His
entire life was
dedicated for the
welfare of the society
and the service of
motherland. He
persevered throughout
his life to raise the
spiritual level of the
Indian society.
Shri Maharaj Ji was born
on 28 February 1924 in a
simple farmers family.
His father name was,
Late Shri Mohan Lal
Kaushik and Mother name
was Smt. Late Bhagwanti
Devi. There were five
brothers and one sister
in the family.
Spiritual teacher was
great Grammarian
reverenced Shree Ganga
Swarup Brahmchari Ji
Maharaj. He was
initiated into
spirituality in January
on the day of Basant
Panchami in 1998 during
Maha Khumb at Prayag.
His fellow disciples
were late sage Shree
Narayan Swarup Ji
Maharaj. Late Shri
Devendra Swarup Ji
Maharaj was learned in
the study of Vedas and
Vedantta, Yog Science,
Scriptures, Smriti,
Ramayan, Mahabharat and

Shri Devendra Swarup Ji
Maharaj worked
relentlessly for
propagation of Vedic
tradition and knowledge
of scriptures. He paid
great reverence to
sages, worked untiringly
for the protection of
cows. He believed that
the guest was like a god
and showed due courtesy
to all people who
visited his ashrams.
Maharaj Ji believed that
the progress of society
could not be achieved
without the progress of
women kind. He worked
for the upliftment of
the women through
establishing schools and
colleges. He had great
compassion for poor and
destitute.

Shri Jai Ram Anan
Chetra, Rishikesh :
The Anan Chetra was
founded by Adi Guru Shri
Jai Ram Maharaj in 1891.
Shri Devendra Swarup Ji
Maharaj built a new
portals of the Ashram
and renovated the entire
premises. He added
spacious Hall for
“Yagya” (havan) in Shri
Sankat Mochan Hanuman
temple. He built well
furnished guest houses
replete with all
comforts, Homeopathic
dispensary, satsang
bhavan and set up a
Sanskrit college in
Rishikesh. He can be
truly called a saint
with a far sight.
Shri Jai Ram Ashram,
Haridwar : Shri
Devendra Swarup Ji
Maharaj had the main
entrance of the Ashram
constructed, he added a
Ved bhavan, five
temples, spacious hall
for “Yagya” and made a
Shiv Ling for quartz
(rock crystal) stone. He
also decorated the
temples with the idols
depicting the sequence
of events from epic
Mahabharata. Some of the
scene depicted are Bhism
Pitamaha bed of arrows
and donation of tooth by
Karan. Shri Devendra
Swarup Ji Maharaj also
built Saptrishi temple
and Dashoavataram temple
built in Haridwar. He
also made night shelter
under the name of
Navdurga. Thousands of
graduates of Vidyapeeth
are employed in these
institutions and holding
various offices of
responsibility.

Bhramchari had built
this in 2004. Shri
Devendra Swarup Ji
Maharaj had a new portal
made and renovated the
entire building. This
Nivas provides free
board and lodging to the
pilgrims.

Mahadeep Ashram,
Haridwar : This
Ashram was setup by Late
Sant Narayan Swarup Ji
Maharaj Brahmchari Ji.
He was the fellow
disciple of Shri
Devendra Swarup Ji
Maharaj. Shri Devendra
Swarup Ji had the portal
and renovation of the
Ashram. He also setup
Kasturi charitable trust
in Narela in Delhi. A
night shelter which
offers free lodging to
the the travelers and
Shiv temple are some of
the additions made to
this Ashram by Shri
Devendra Swarup Ji
Maharaj.
Shri Ganga Swarup
Ashram, Haridwar :
Shri Devendra Swarup Ji
Maharaj built a three
storied Ashram at
central Bhupatwala,
Haridwar for the benefit
of pilgrims. This Ashram
is fully equipped with
all modern amenities. In
the vicinity of this
Ashram Maharaj built a
Panch Dev Mandir and
Satsang Bhavan.
Shri Jai Brahmchari
Ashram Delhi : This
Ashram was setup by Shri
Kutastha Ji Maharaj, a
disciple of Shri Jai Ram
Ji Maharaj. In 1990 Shri
Devendra Swarup Ji
Maharaj added up a
school for Vedic
studies, a training
centre, a preaching hall
and community centre.

excreta for disposal by
the sweepers.

thousands of pilgrims
