The foundation of the school was
laid by Shri Brahmchari Brahm
Swarup Ji with his own hand
in 2003. Three hundred students
joined the institution and it
was affiliated to CBSE New
Delhi. Within five years, i.e.
in 2008 the school had 604
students on its rolls. It is the
result of the academic quality
of the school and the fact that
there was no English medium
school in that area that the
school attracted a large number
of students. The school has
classes from nursery to class
XII and offers Arts and Commerce
streams to the students along
with music education.
In 2008 the students of the
school won distinction in the
field of scholastic, sports and
cultural events.
Scholastic distinction
Ten students of class X and
class XII stood in merit in the
CBSE Board Examination. Najam
Preet of class X secured 84.2%,
Sonam also of class X secured
83.2% and Neha of class X
secured 79.2%. In the All India
National talent contest
organized by the Children
Educational Trust 25 students of
the school cleared the test and
two students secured a very high
rank and were awarded cash prize
and received the Award of
Brilliance. This Award was won
by Najam Preet.
The fifteenth Kala Bharti
International child Art
Development Institute, Pune,
Maharashtra organized drawing
painting competition in which
five students of the school won
gold medals.
Distinction
in Sports
In the fifteen Cluster Athletic
competition organized by the
Sangroor District Punjab. A
student of Kesari Devi Public
School won gold medal in 1500
metre race and a silver in 800 m
race. In the same events Navjot,
Reenla Seema and Rupa Sandeep
won silver medals.
Anup also participated in the
national sports event held in
Gujarat between 18 December 2008
to 24 December 2008.
Distinction in Cultural
Programmes
The
students of Kesari Devi Public
School participated in
recitation programme, singing of
devotional songs, fancy dress
programs. In the group dance
category the students stood
first. In fancy dress category
the students of the school stood
second and in recitation
competition they won consolation
prize.
On all the national festivals
the school organizes various
cultural programmes like Rakhi
making, candle designing,
decoration of lamps, making
painting and greeting cards and
mehandi designing and glass
painting
The school also organized one
day camp under NSS in which the
plantation of trees within the
school campus was done by the
students. From 25 December to 31
December 2008 a one week camp
was organized in village Lohar
Majra to create awareness about
the cleanliness among the rural
people. The students of the
school also organized an
exhibition of hand made things.
They also informed the people
about the medicinal plants which
help in curing the disease.
Educational Tours
The school organized an
educational tour from 13 October
2008 to 15 October 2008 to Pipli
Zoo Jindal Park, Kalpana Chawal
Planetarium, Krishna Museum and
Panorama.
