With the unwavering resolution of reverend Brahm Swarup Brahmchari Ji, Seth Harbaksh Lohia, Jai Ram Mahilla Polytechnic was inaugurated on 23 December 2005 by Shri Bhupendra Hooda the Chief Minister of Haryana. The polytechnic is situated 10 Kms. from Kurukshetra on Pehwa Road.

The girls are given training in fashion technology and textile designing. As the part of their training the students are taken to visit the annual craft mela organized at Suraj Kund at Faridabad.

Not only this the polytechnic also imparts training in personality development and all round growth of the students. The girls are encouraged to take part in debate competitions towards.

The college organizes all cultural and educational festivals in which the girls participate with great enthusiasm.

The girls of the polytechnic have been winning laurels in the examination by securing a high percentage. Guest lectures by eminent personalities are also organized from time to time, to give exposure to the girls to changing trends of the professional field.

The parents of students are also invited in the parents teachers association where they are urged to give their advice and opinion about upgrading the academic quality of the institute. The polytechnic also has a bus to commute the students to the college.
